Simile is defined as intellectual and mental essence of poets which makes it possible to achieve hidden layer of imagination in their works. Besides, it helps the reader get acquainted with ideas, personal beliefs, life experiences and their viewpoints toward the society. Similes are often created by the poet’s favorites and main viewpoints which empirically refers to the dominant thought of a society. Indeed, Similes are affected not only by personal poet worlds but also by the culture and beliefs of a society which influence poets whether intentionally or unintentionally. In fact, “The poet creates these issues in his words by imitation and imagination and simile helps the poet to express impossible issues.” Fotouhi, 2007, p.91) which is effective to arrange literal structure. “Simile and imitation are both dependent on the art which is based on representation and similarity.” (Nabilou, 2014, p. 129).This art helps poet to apply all surrounding elements to make them deserve to be used in poetic goals.Metaphors are also based on simile in which just one of the main pillars of simile is mentioned. Therefore, the reader will understand metaphor by the speech mildness which is expressed for omitted pillar. “Metaphor is the mature form of simile, the greatest investigation of artists, the best facility in the area of artistic language, and the most efficient tool for imagination; a kind of speech painting.” (SHamisa, 1997, p.154).Persian Language and literature has changed during the time and has experienced different changes, styles and types. One of the most prominent styles is Indian Style which has been a common style during tenth and eleventh century AH. “This style has more thematic and semantic unity in term of theoretical and lingual basics than other styles. Indeed, it is one of the few Persian poetry which makes it possible to classify and analyze poetic principles and foundations and poetical viewpoint integrally.” (Mohabati, 2011, p. 835)Imaginary images and poetic pictures in this style are accompanied by content complexity and fantasy dream inwhich poets are trying to find a synonym for whatever they are thinking about. “Therefore, poets are trying to convert logical mental contents by analogizing them to tangible issues in real world. In this method, poets turn partially to fantasy dreams, new and strange similes. When, they break the limits, they create delicate novel literature.” (Dashti, 1985, p.75).The present study aims to discuss rhetorical and poetical simile in terms of structure, theme, the quality of pseudo-face, emotion, logic, abstraction, singularity and plurality, and simile angle (novelty and obsolescence of simile) in the poems by Taleb Amoly who is a famous Indian Style poet.
