Nowadays, increased dependence on cars has created car-centered societies, and issues related to walking and health have become one of the main challenges of human societies, especially in developing ones. This dependency on the car has many negative consequences, including a decrease in the level of physical activity, which is the cause of many health problems, especially among children and adolescents. One solution to this problem is to encourage physical activity by providing an environment where students can safely walk or cycle to school. Therefore, one of the effective aspects involved in creating safe routes to / from school is the urban form. Studying the factors of urban form can help create an environment where students can safely walk and bike to school, thereby reducing overweight and obesity and diseases that result from it among children and Adolescents and subsequently help increase their level of health and ultimately society. This research is of applied-developmental type and has been done based on library and documentary studies and field surveys. The statistical population studied in this research is based on the urban form of neighborhoods, students of schools in the three neighborhoods of Qatarchian, Shalman and 4.19 Baharan. Based on this, the research results indicates that the least use of active transportation modes is in the neighborhood of 4.19 Baharan and after that the neighborhoods of Shalman and Qatarchian. In relation to individual factors, in Qatarchian; the level of student freedom and car ownership, in Shalman; the level of student freedom and their views on walking in terms of entertainment and neighborhood safety, and in 4.19 Baharan; the level of student freedom and neighborhood safety are the only factors influencing student walking. In relation to urban form factors, net residential density, street density, block size, walking distances and land use mixing are the factors influencing students' walking at the neighborhood level. In this regard, to increase the walking rate of students, proposed programs have been presented.
